Etherton Education joins forces with Badminton School to provide a brand new English language summer course in Bristol!
We are delighted to announce we have partnered with Badminton School to provide international children aged 10 – 15 with a new and exciting summer English language course for 2018.
Our ‘Introduction to British Boarding at Badminton School’ is a boutique 4 week course built around the great qualities of British Boarding Schools. It is an excellent introduction for international students wishing to study at a UK Boarding School. During the 4 weeks, not only will students study intensive English language, but they will gain invaluable study skills by taking part in multi-disciplinary lessons, workshops and trips taught and led by the high-quality teachers at Badminton School. Further skills in academic excellence, leadership, teamwork, communication, confidence and creativity will be developed.
Each week will focus on a different theme: Young Inventor, Young Adventurer, Young Citizen of the World and Young Creator! Each week will include a special trip or activity related to the theme. These trips include a visit to Warwick Castle, Brunel’s famous Clifton Suspension Bridge, a trebuchet making activity, private access to Bristol Zoo followed by a formal dinner in their pavilion, a tour of the SS Great Britain, a trip to the ancient Roman Baths in Bath, a tour of the BBS Bristol Television Studio, a visit to Bristol’s International Balloon Fiesta and a clay model workshop with Aardman Animations – the creators of ‘Wallace and Gromit’!
The full 4 week course will run in 2018 from Sunday 15 July to Sunday 12 August and accommodation will be provided in one of Badminton School’s attractive boarding houses. Places are very limited and are to be booked via Etherton Education.
