Preparing International Students for Studying in British Boarding Schools
Welcome to Etherton Education!
Etherton Education Academic Summer Courses are designed for international students who want to study abroad in a British Boarding School. You will study intensive English and up to ten other academic subjects. The programmes also include lots of sport, social activities, clubs and cultural visits. You will work hard but have a lot of fun!
If you are coming to the UK to start at a British Boarding School in September, an Etherton Education Academic Summer Course will prepare you well. After the summer, you will feel more confident and ready to study at your new school.
Our courses are also suitable for students who want to have a taste of life at a British Boarding School, who want to study hard during the summer and then return home.
Our Pre-A-Level / Pre-IB Courses are for students aged 15-17 who are preparing to study A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate.
Our Fast Track Pre-GCSE Course is for students aged 15-17 who are preparing to start a One-Year-GCSE course.
Our Pre-GCSE Course is for students aged 13-15 who are preparing to study GCSEs.
Our Junior Academic Course is for younger students aged 10-12, they combine hard work with lots of active learning and fun.
Our Introduction to British Boarding Course is for students aged 10-15, it is an innovative and exciting course built around different themes each week. The course has been developed in partnership with the Headmistress and Staff of Badminton School.
Our Family Summer Course is for students aged 6 -10 accompanied by a parent / adult, it is designed to give a great introduction to British Boarding Schools.
Our students are bright and ambitious – you will be the leaders of tomorrow. Many of our students aim at going to top UK universities. We will show you how to succeed in the British education system.

Without doubt, the Etherton Education summer course is of huge benefit to our international Sixth Formers both in terms of preparation for A-levels and in their understanding of a different culture. I am convinced that they settle into their studies far quicker since the course started, when before they would spend the first term drowning in a sea of technical terms and unknown social customs.
