In response to many requests, Etherton Education are pleased to confirm that beginning this summer 2014, we will be adding a Junior Academic Course (JAC) to our courses. We will be accepting students aged 12-13 years onto the Junior Academic Course. This JAC will be based at Wellington School, where we have our Pre-GCSE course. These students will be given a similar programme to our existing Pre-GCSE course, but with a syllabus appropriate to their age. They will receive 12 hours a week of English language, 3 hours a week of English through Drama, and 15 hours a week of introduction to up to 10 other academic subjects, with stress on the English terminology needed to study each subject. The maximum class size for the JAC will be 12. These students will have a dedicated Course Leader to co-ordinate their programme. They will also have a full programme of sports, social activities and educational trips to support their learning.
