2008 Questionnaire Results
At the end of this summer's course we asked all students to complete a questionnaire with over 50 questions. The key findings from the questions are:
* More Confident
Over 72% felt either more confident or much more confident in using English for education after completing our course.

* Better English
All of our students believed that their level of English had improved. Most of our students believed their English improved a lot during the course. Some students even thought that their English level had more then doubled.
* Good teachers, friendly staff
The students felt that they could understand their lessons well and rated many of our teachers as 'very good teachers'.
The House and Administrative staff were rated as very friendly and helpful.
* Great leisure programme
The students enjoyed the 19 different sports they played, ranging from archery and fencing to basketball and football. Many thought that the sports were really helpful in understanding British school culture and were great fun!
Our evening social activities and Sunday clubs were very popular. They helped the students to make friends, improve their English and increase their confidence.
Drama was very successful this year and included productions of Cinderella and Mamma Mia. Most students said they enjoyed Drama lessons very much.
The students enjoyed the day trips on Thursdays. Many felt that it was a fun way to improve their English and learn more about British culture. The most popular day trips were to Oxford, Bath and Longleat.
* Conclusions
The questionnaire results were in general very positive and encouraging. Some students gave us valuable suggestions for future additions, and we will certainly pay attention to their ideas.
Overall, students rated these as the most valuable things they got from the Summer Course:
- Improved English ability
- Greater self-confidence
- Friendship with staff and other students
- Better knowledge of Britain, British schools and British culture
