Welcome to Etherton Education

Etherton Education runs academic summer courses to prepare overseas students for British education. These courses at Wellington School are suitable for students who want to go abroad to study GCSE or A-Level in a British boarding school. You will improve your English, study all the main academic subjects, and get over culture shock. Many of our former students are now studying at Oxford, Cambridge and other top British universities. The key to this success is to be well prepared!

New for 2010:- LONDON WEEK: Our 8-week courses will start with one week in London followed by 7 weeks at Wellington School. We will take students to visit all of the UK’s top five universities during the summer to inspire them to aim high and work hard!  Click here for full details

Students enrolling on our 8 week Pre-A Level and Pre-GCSE Courses start the courses with The London Week (5-12 July 2010).

Students will stay at Bankside House. Bankside is a Hall of Residence belonging to the London School of Economics. It is very near to the River Thames, the Millennium Bridge, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

During this week all students will visit Imperial College, LSE and University College, London, as well as museums and famous sights in London. We will go to Cambridge for a one-day trip.

British Council Accreditation

Etherton Education was inspected and accredited by the British Council in August 2008. Points of excellence were noted in aspects of general management, pastoral care and the leisure programme.
